@sachababs Sam Coomes (on bass) is no " Studio musician" He was one of Elliott's good friends and plays in Quasi with Janet Weiss. He also played bass for Heatmiser after Brandt left.

They're just session musicians, brought in for the show. They probably would have only practiced with Elliott on the day itself.
