In 2009 I was asked to write 3 more songs for Silent Hill with Mary Elizabeth on vocals. I thought this time I'd bring a camera in and give you a peek at the process. It's rough I know, but fun anyway. Special thanks to: Les Claypool @ Magnitude 8 Post Yutaka Maseba, Haruyo Kanesaku and Kanae Seki @ ZRO Limit Prod. and Phil Brewster sound engineer

  • Loved you're work on the game. I'm a graduate out of Living Arts College in NC and my whole life is studio engineering and song writing (not to mention I'm a huge fan of the games and Akira's compositions) so I have to ask; how did you land such an awesome gig?

  • @kordtone how did i find a gig like that?

the same way you found me.

    it came to me.

  • Wicked! How did you get these videos?

I absolutely love Mary's voice... She is awesome. Thanks to Joe and Akira too. XD :D

  • How did I get these videos?

I put the mini-disc in the camcorder and pushed record.

  • It really is Silent Hill in the beginning—all the doors're locked and nobody's around.

    What a lovely video, though!

  • nadie le abría a joe

  • @joebowie That's really cool man. I'd love for something like that to fall in my lap but all we got here in the Triangle is a small Indie Rock and Dance scene so my original work kind of gets lost in the mesh. Plus finding a manager that isn't all about making a name for himself/herself is a bit of a task so I have to balance it out on my own. I'd really like to pick your brain more if you don't mind. I'm sure you have some really awesome stories to tell. =) Is your e-mail on your website?

  • Nice Joe!!!!!!!!!!! I love it!!!!

  • Sarcasm self-test complete.

  • @joebowie LMAO!!!

You rock, Joe. :) I love the atmosphere in this recording session. :) A good atmosphere in the studio is important.

    Take care,

    Phazey, the sound paralyzer :P

  • zero dilkes, that is correct :D

  • I want more of these :D !
