  • Very sad to learn of Ted Brigg's death at the weekend. Ted carried an enormous burden of guilt and grief. I have so many fond memories of him. My condolences to Claire. I hope that our film in some small way helped Ted in his daily struggle with the memories of Hood's demise.

  • Ted Briggs was a man of great courage it take a lot of courage to retell the event of what happened on that day and for that i will forever admire him. God Bless you Ted Briggs and rest in peace in Heaven.

  • metube1120, by the time the royal navy had finished with the Bismarck it was destroyed beyond recognition. Who cares how it bloody sunk. Churchill wanted it sunk and it was. End of. Lots of lives were lost on hood and bismarck and more time and effort should be spent on reflecting on that rather than mr cameron and his bullshit documetaries. I would rather listen to sailors like brigs and other british or german sailors who were there when it happened.

  • not funny that Hood sinks with out of her crew of 1418 were lost of her total crew of 1421 only 3 survive ted Briggs,1 commander, and a Gunner

  • Its funny how the sinking of a British battleship would lead to the sinking of a German battleship.

  • This man saw all his shipmates disappear in the waves.... and lived 60 years with that burden. Rest in peace...

Thanks to the Crews of the British Destroyers who ignored the threat of an Submarine Attack and rescued so many German Sailors as they could!!!

  • Idiot! Was ist mit eure U-Boots? Die haben auch einfach zugeschaut. Scharnhorst hat auch sowas gemacht . Hast du HMS Rawalpindi vergessen?

  • It was a common conduct for the German u-boots to take prisoners out of the water. Until the western allies decided to bomb the U-boats while they were rescuing the prisoners. One U-boat was sunk ,and the other one damaged. Admiral Dönitz was outraged of this incident, and ordered that no crews are to be rescued, as the U-boats would be put to vulnerable situation.

  • A ship that fought is a ship worthy of attention. Hood and its men fought with bravery and so did the Bismarck. Both ships were true battleships in my eyes.

  • Bless his heart. Hood was a beautiful ship.

  • lol u sound more perfectic every min , so u was just say the english was, not scots or welsh lol , they were part of the empier to lol god ur sad by

  • fairman. I am only talking about you English. You are the ruthless ones. The "British" include all sorts of others including the English. There is the British Commonwealth and also people like the Scots and the Welsh. None of these folk are English.
