  • You DONT oil the splice ( top of the bat ) it can expand the wood and crack/brake a whole lot easier!

  • @SHADOWMATTYBOI

    Maybe on a cheaper bat.....

  • Just email or call Julian at the screamingcat site - He'll be glad to help

  • Contact Julian via the screaming cat website to check for for availability. I'm not sure if he sells the facing.

  • Ther is no doubt in my mind that Julian is very passionate man when it comes to bat making. The amount of oiling will change depending on the climate so its a matter of inspecting your bat on a regular basis. It does'nt take long to do and you are right...it is an investment.

  • do i knock my bat in before i add the plastic facing, or after ?

  • is it possible for u to send me a link on how to knock cricket bats in.

    Thanks Dilena

  • @dillyalltheway I have only ever done one bat, (my current one). But I did google it first and talked to the owner of the store that I bought it from (as he knocks in bats for people who buy them). However it wasnt dificult at all. more just time consuming.

  • @0Zolrender0 k thanks, do u knock bats in

  • @dillyalltheway depends on the bat you have. I knock mine in for over 6 hours. but thats not constant knocking thats making sure the surface is smooth. if you pay for the service you wont get this length of time. they will prob send 30-60 min.

  • @paulnunn does Julian have a knocking in service

  • @paulnunn how many hours do you knock in a bat for

  • @rcnewb11 whether you use facing or not its extremely important to knock the bat in properly, best to knock it in before applying facing/extra-tec
