Haha, the fact that sound engineers need to learn about not to overcompress/overlimit the music is very paradox. But you're absolutely right! Just load a new dance track from nowadays into your wave editor and take a look at it, you will mostly only see one big fat beam with no dynamic in it! Question: Why do DJs even have volume/gain potis? Answer: To act as if they were VERY bussy on the mixer! :D
