  • can anyone tell me if this melody is the soundtrack of a gameplay? Thank u!

  • @Stargiuly Originally this is a piano piece, piano transcription made by Sergei Prokofiev from his ballet "R & J". It could be used in games, of course, but I haven't seen.

  • Elena Kuschnerova plays this at the right tempo as many others record or play it at 100 which was to be fair the tempo noted by Prokofiev in the original piano works for Romeo and Juliet. However, by slowing this down just a little the drving and rhytmic force of this piece comes out beautfiully. Ordered her CD of this last week and she was kind enough to autograph it for me. I believe when it is played at 100 it is just too fast and loses the the dramatic effect of the wonderful left hand bass

  • Spectacularly dramatic - Elena Kuschnerova is fabulous. *****

  • I have waited 12 years to find this incredible piece of music. Now my life is complete.

  • Terrific performance, among the best (and perhaps the best) I have heard.

  • @dgaranin The melody was used in a Necrophagist song, "Only Ash Remains". At around 3:37 in the song it begins. Kinda not what you'd expect out of a technical death metal song but hey, everybody has roots (watch?v=5oBGixxuu2E)

  • @Stargiuly yes, it was played for the original "Puzzle Quest"

There was a Game on the Commodore 64 that used that piece.

It was a sidescrolling shooter named "Sanxion".

  • Amazing!
