  • @lesorciercalifornien You have no idea how much of the US forces actually have outdated stuff. One of the downsides to a large army is that upgrades are costly, very costly. That kind of money is available to nobody, Russian, Chinese, Brazilian, or American. Add to that they want to show their nice new tech stuff that gobbles up cash like nothing else.(Know what a single shiny new B-2 costs?)

  • So why can't the military get more keyed military devices that don't broadcast their location? There is no reason that troops in a combat zone should have to use civilian models given the kind of budget they have.
