I just decided to sing this song on Mother's day because I have the best Mother (and dad) in the world and I know there are some mothers out there that have it really hard and so do their kids.

I want to somehow make people aware that domestic violence is an epidemic and that women and men have choices.

This song was written about Christina Aguilera's mother's abusive relationship with her husband, Fausto Aguilera.
