Nothing like the teacher of experience then, I stand corrected. Why was water so brown then or was that simply the quality of the video?

Great idea in concept but would rather simply spread out those cloths on a simple wood frame and let the dew point do the work for me. That was a lot of insect poop and wildlife pee you scraped up there!

@canesser1 you couldn't gather any significant quantity by using that method without a ton of clothes, and not so sure about the pee and poop thing. All I can say is the water tastes great, no pee after flavor.

collecting dew with a drag cloth is a very good idea. When you are dragging your pants and shoes may get wetter than the rag. If there are pesticide in the field it may not be drinkable. It may have to be distilled.

Thanks for sharing but you still need to boil/sterilize the water. This method can easily infect a person with pesticides, salmonella and bacteria such as escherichia coli (e. coli).
