Thanks for posting! I'm a Christian (have been most of my life), but I enjoy hearing what intelligent, respectful people of other beliefs have to say on the matter.
My hope for you is the same as my hope for any man: that whatever you finally rest upon will be the truth.

good story, interesting perspective and very similar to events i have found my self in. in the pas I also have struggled with my belief in god. but my confrontations with evil have served to strengthen my faith.

I'm an agnostic and after hearing his story, I'm surprised to find that I'm really an agnostic for the same reasons he is. I've thought about the size and scope of the universe and I agree it's silly to use evolution as a way to disprove god. I totally understand the feeling of evil in the presence of men like Hitler and Ahmadinejad. I believe in right and wrong and a cosmic order that makes such things the way they are, but I'm still an agnostic. But, what a terrific story this was.

This guy speaking is great! Anyway, if I had the chance to confront Ahmadinejad, I would first kick him the in the nuts, then kick him in the ass, and then grab him by the nape of the neck and the seat of his pants and send him flying out the window faster than he could say "Allah Akbar!"
-
For me, it was seeing the Nick Berg beheading video. I knew instantly, and viscerally, that true evil exists.

Covering Durbin 2, eh?
Hmmm, I would have gone into all the bathroom stalls in the hotel and scrawled on the wall: "Congratulations, Mahmoud -- You just sat on the same toilet seat a Jew did."
That would have been fun. Would have looked like Borat and the Kosher cornbeef sandwich incident.
I can even hear Borat singing: Ahmadinejad, craziest president in the world! All other countries run by little girls!
-
Bring an extra pair of shoes!
-
Again and again and again.
-
I'd love to be in a room with Ahmadinejad, purely so I could kick him in the nuts.
What a great story!! God is amazing. He's so complicated that he baffles scientists and yet so simple a child can understand him. I'm quoting someone. I just don't know who. I've often thought that it's not the jews who create problems in the world as some would like to believe. I think it's the hatred of the jews from so many that creates a lot of the evil we see in the world.

I was an agnostic for about a week at age 18, but God got ahold of me hard brother.
