This makes me sick to my stomach. After 18 years of service and him putting his life on the line to ensure that we stay free The military kicks him out for being gay.The Government needs to wake up there are a ton of gay men and women serving in the military right now that isn't out.The problem is the real reason the Government doesn't want gays in the military is because they are in fear of being outted themselves. I say let that man finish his time.

Well Pentagon DADT is no longer the law of the land. I guess you all did not see that coming did ya? I guess you all will have to treat gay soldiers the same as straight now. Thank you Lt Colonel Fehrenbach for your service. I hope now you will receive the justice you deserve.

I grew up around his niece and brother, and they are the nicest people you will ever meet. It hurts me to see this, I personally have never met Victor but I can only imagine he is just as great of a person like they are. It is just asinine to me how you can be this decorated and fight this hard for your country and have it all stripped of you because of your sexual orientation. Yes I know that rules are rules, but it should never be a rule in the first place.

DADT is crazy - This man is a hero

We make fun of the Arabs, cause they are 2K years behind with Burkas etc. etc, but we are not much better here, were we still think that been Gay it's an Election eg.: Plumber, Electrician etc. Who in there right mind would choose to be Gay, discriminated, call names, not having any Legal rights like "Strait people" have? etc.
It's time to change all this non sense!!
Congratulations to Canada and Argentina for legalizing Gay Marriage/rights!!!

A fighter pilot with 18 years of military service; nine medals, including one for heroism. With everything this dedicated soldier has accomplished and done for this country, this is the thanks he gets? There is something terribly wrong with America.

@downloaddrive Actually, I was fired from my job for mentioning I was gay, even though I had been celibate for years. Don't underestimate bigotry. Nevermind the fact that there's nothing wrong with him having sex in the first place.

@stl49erfan Well said stl49erfan! I 100% agree with you
This is insane. Victor Fehrenbach is not a threat to the military. DADT is an outdated and discriminatory law. Sixty years from now America is going to look back and wonder what the hell we were all thinking. I hope the media attention does something to save Lt. Col. Fehrenbach's career, after serving faithfully for 18 years the nation should be thanking him, not firing him.

it disgusts me how a great man can be discharged because he is gay. this is absolutely ridiculous. and for those who disagree can go screw themselves.
