Ch.24

As they walked by the lake, Nat started thinking.

Nat: Sooo Allie?

Allie: *Knows his tone of voice and is suspicious* Yeeeah?

Nat: Would you still love me if I threw you in say.a very big puddle?

Allie: *Starts walking as far away from the lake and Nat as possible* NOPE!

Nat: Aaaww and I thought you really loooved me *He starts walking closer but its hard to see because its still pretty dark out*

Allie: Dont play that card with me its dark and I do NOT feel like swimming Nat!....Nat? *Its all quiet* Nat its not funny! You know im scared of the dark!! *Her voice shakes*

Nat: *Feels bad and makes up an excuse* Calm down I just went back to get a flashlight! *He pulls a small key chain flashlight from his pocket* Here take it. *He hands it to her and puts his arm around her*

Allie: Oh thanks I was freaking out.

Nat: No problem *he pulls her closer as they walk*

Once they get to Nat's house
They're in front of the door but Nat's dad didnt leave the light on in the hall so he cant see to unlock the door.

Nat: Here shine the light over here so I can get the hide-a-key to unlock the door.

Allie: Ooo Hide-a-key

Nat: Dont get any crazy ideas girl or ill have to re hide it. *He smiles at her*

Allie: I wont do anything *She lowers her voice real low* to *She goes back to her normal voice* stupid! *She smiles innocently*

Nat: Im just going to pretend I didnt hear that and unlock the door. Okay?

Allie: Sounds good to me! *She winks at him*

Nat: *Mumbles so she can hear* Crazy girl

Allie: I heard that! *She jumps on his back and he opens the door and walks in*

Nat: Sssshhh my dads asleep still and im not sure if Alex ended up staying at Qaussim's or not.

Allie: *giggled and whispered* Okay

Nat: *Climbed the stairs and opened Alexs door to see if he was there. Unfortunatly he was so they closed the door and kept going. Once inside Nat's room he dropped Allie on the bed and laid down beside her.*

Allie: I didnt mean for you to have to carry me all the way upstairs. Sorry

Nat: Why are you sorry you dont weigh anything.

Allie: But your tired.

Nat: *chuckles quietly* I've had a long night..and its 5 in the morning. Arent you tired? *He looked over at her and she was sound asleep using his arm and shoulder as a pillow.* I take that as a yes then. * He fell asleep soon after that*
