This video is of an elevator which was stuck on the third floor of the OU library's east wing. It was made at the same time that the elevator on lower level 1 was not functioning properly.

You can see in the beginning, by looking to the right, that the elevator was on the 3rd floor. Three times the button was pushed for 2, and it never moved. If you'll stop the action at 52 seconds, you'll see that it's still on 3.

See this for the other elevator, on L1:

  • I am certainly not a "vigilante." That is the wrong word. Those of us who expose corruption in high places are to be called "whistle-blowers." I realize that maintenance workers at OU are over-worked, understaffed, and underpaid. Boren and his henchmen are to blame.

  • We need vigilantes to let the hard working maintenance and staff know about maintenance problems. This is not in any defense of Boren, rather it is to make the best of a horrible situation by keeping OU's facilities maintained.

  • You don't seem to understand what I'm doing. It is not my task to manage the maintenance at OU. What I'm doing is exposing the vast atmosphere of corruption at OU. Deplorable maintenance is only a small part of it.

  • call the physical plant and get the elevator to work properly 325-3060 or 5-3060 from any campus phone
