  • Amazing what a child can do! It's like the legong, it's quite a different experience when the dancer is only 10 years old. It surprises you, and there's an innocence to it, even if this one is a very cheeky innocence, nakal sekali! Arbiter, do you know if there is any film of Sampih dancing as an adult, apart from the half-minute clip from the Ed Sullivan show posted on YouTube by legongpeliatanbali? I'd love to see more of that 1952/53 tour of Europe and the US by the Peliatan club. Thanks.

  • mimiih bcik pisan

  • Special, thxs, liked/interesting: the (wild) interaction of dancer and drummer

  • there's no sound?

  • A.A. Gede Mandera is playing "kendang" and not "kempang." It is a drum.
