I know, I know... I've already posted this song (July 15/09) on my porch music series but heck! I felt like singing it again.

I learned this song from a Mississippi Sheiks 1920s recording.

Lew...

Man alive! One that I've not heard in man,many moons! Something magical about the Folk Process: We learn songs as we hear them performed,not as written on papaer. This is priceless,because the process makes allowances in lyrics. This,in turn,is digested and incorporated into the song...keeping it alive for the next generation for its own modifications,while still retaining the essence.

Your demonstration provided here is s fine example of this.
