the remarkable document Jews call the Torah is like no other. when the Torah Codes came out shrill voices rang out that this is bunk you can get codes anywhere. the rabbi challenges you to find similar codes anywhere in literature

  • torah needs no verification from science."science" needs verification from Torah because all observations have relitavistic limitations that make you question the reality of each observer. Torah states that there is a reality to observation and to a degree must be listened to.

  • "why do you refuse to believe the plain text of the bible. why do you go looking for occultic codes?

this parlour game is blasphemous and is based on occultic philosophy of the kind God strictly forbids (read the Law in plain text

to refute the uniqueness of the Bible code they translated War and Peace into Hebrew and found the same kind of patterns there. it appears to be an artifact of Hebrew.

so you find hidden messages? i dont care, you find patterns in clouds similiarly"

    Strefanash

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX again if you want to look at it rationally, then you and i or better yet you speak to witzum or katz and they will show you the differences or they won't. this is not a popularity contest but a search for truth. you are just repeating an argument that has nothing to do with the substance of what i said. yes you can find patterns everywhere just not as many and irrelevent to the page at hand. they tried this with the Samaritan Torah which is almost exact as our Torah-didn't work!

  • "Among the signatories below are some who believe that the Torah was divinely written. We see no conflict between that belief and the opinion we have expressed above."

From "Mathematicians' Statement on the Bible Codes" at

    (the usual prefix).math.caltech.edu/code/petition.html

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX i am familiar with that-it is irrelevant. there is a series of codes in the Bible that defies logic, the samaritan Torah is almost a carbon copy yet has no such prioliferation of codes

  • "There is a common belief in the general community to the effect that many mathematicians, statisticians, and other scientists consider the claims to be credible. This belief is incorrect. On the contrary, the almost unanimous opinion of those in the scientific world who have studied the question is that the theory is without foundation. The signatories to this letter have themselves examined the evidence and found it entirely unconvincing."

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX they were not able to debunk witzum it is only a statement of belief.there are serious challenges but this is not one of them.

  • These mystical codes are a fact , They exist in the Torah, the Old Testament & the New Testament but mostly in the Old testament. Get a Bible Codes CD program & search for the JFK assassination & the Titanic sinking in the New Testament, as well as many other codes. I had to see it for myself by getting some Bible Code prorgams to do searchs on my comouter. The word Titanic is encoded with the term, the ship sank beneath the waves, in the NT. JFK, to die in Dallas, is also there. God is real.

  • nice video Rabbi =). I agree with you. Torah is written/coded by God and therefore unique in the world. There were and still are many many many examples of codes in Torah about past and present events, in rare cases even about future events (Rabin Assassination one year before it happened, attack from Iraq on Israel with Scuds - months ago before it happened, Obama election etc.).Most people are lazy to carefuly search and study Torah Codes, there are more than enough examples that its true.

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX If you refer to those "analysis" made by Dr,McKay,you can check out the refutations by Professor Haralick in his site. Can you provide me some reference?

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX yes,but they don´t refute those scientifical papers challenge them to do so.These papers resolve from an statistic point of view all those old topics-flexibility,e.t.c.-.Are you aware of these papers?,it seems not.You can find and download them in the site of Professor Haralick.

  • @rabbichaimmoshe ""science" needs verification from Torah because all observations have relitavistic limitations that make you question the reality of each observer."

The above is scientific sounding but merely gobbledygook. A misuse of jargon from Special Relativity and quantum mechanics.

Science needs NO verification from Torah, except in the minds on some confused Rabbis.

"God" as a theory is pointless. The "god theory" makes Zero, testable predictions. It is not falsifiable.

  • @Torahcode, "Peer reviewed" my foot. Analysis of what is being done shows that MANY words can be generated at random. With flexibility of word choice, leaving vowels out, or not, counting by 2s 3s 4s etc. reading backward, switching to another language, etc. even more "relevant" words can be found.

Calculating probabilities AFTER the words have been so chosen is incorrect statistically.

Math and science folks who ARE theists, have stated this phenomena is common and irrelevant.

  • @TinWoodsmanXXX as an analogy do you think that in the human DNA is included his future wife or his home and all the events of his life? All the universe?,DNA of the world?,BS?,nothing more than words subject to any kind of interpretation your task would be to refute those peer-reviewd-more than ten!!-papers wich validate the entire phenomena,or if you can´t,at least request to others to make it

  • Strefanash's post is superb. (It is from another website on Torah codes.)

    Religion used to have "Authority".

Now it looks to Science to bolster it's credibility.

    Uber-Silly that...
