A long-lasting, brilliant partnership
After four years, British designer J. Maskrey once again graces Melissas summer collection with her glamourous talent.
After the grand success of the Couture collection, presented in 2003, the NightSky line promises to enchant consumers in search of sparkle and extra-special Melissas.
This time around, the model receiving different-sized crystals is Ultra a peep-toe-style slipper with a rounded front.
The NightSky Melissa line is a limited edition item. For the next season, only 3000 pairs will be produced to supply the national and international markets.
J. Maskrey started out as a make-up artist. She then decided to follow her innovative ideas and develop jewellery to be worn directly on the skin. This is how skin jewellery, her registered trade mark, was born.
Nowadays, the designer shows her collections at the London fashion week and travels the world on tour as a make-up artist for U2.
According to her, the name for the new line, NightSky came to her on one of her trips while observing the beauty and lights of the sky from her airplane window.
"Since I moved to Paris at the beginning of this year, romantism took over me and my thoughts... So I decided to create a line both feminine and modern. Beautiful shoes decked with crystal that will illuminate the steps of Melissa's consumers," reveals J. Maskrey.
