  • can we use papaya and pineapple powder as well...thanks

  • OMG Baljeet from Phineas and pherb made a cooking show!

  • won't the flavors of the meat be very sweet? HOw about rinsing the chicken before making my thai stir fries?

  • @cliffcox66 Yeah I know that's what you do when you mom in law visits you. Bloody loser with a capital L.

  • @Desi4evah So vomit and use the acids in your stomach to tenderize? i think this is how to tenderize so the meat is appetizing enough to actually eat.

  • @ritutulsian YES, you can. I know the for fact because I used canned pineapple juice. it works extremely well. Just don't leave it too long cause it'll turn too mushy and have no structure. But canned, does work.

  • where the hell im i going to find a fresh papaya in switzerland!

  • @whodoiturnto The acids in your stomach are much stronger than the power of the papaya.. they get eaten up even before the papaya can think of doing damage.

  • You could also use a mechanical tenderizer, its faster and you can marinate and cook your meat in only a few minutes. I got mine here:

  • Thank you very much! I used to tenderize using mechanical means, before, but this works so much better. And, there is not any lasting sweet flavor on the meat to worry about.

I would like to note that 3-4 hours may be a little long to wait, especially with chicken breast/thighs, because they will be broken down to the point of almost resembling a pate; this has happened to me, before. Therefore, I suggest marinating no longer than 1 hour for either chicken or beef.
