Cabbage Chana Dal Salad by Manjula
Ingredients:
2 cups of very finely chopped cabbage
2 medium seeded and finely chopped tomatoes
1 cup chopped cucumber
1 shredded carrot
10 minced mint leaves
1/4 cup yellow chana dal(chana dal is the split version of kala chana,can be purchased from any Indian grocery store)

Salad Dressing:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon vinegar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon ginger juice
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

  • chana dal is not cooked? right. Just soaked and then added into the salad?

  • chana dal is not cooked soak long enough so it is soft takes about two hours.

  • thank u aunty for showing so many good reciepes....there is a small request from me can u show us how to make khoya, and i like the board on which u make chapati coz on that u never use dry flour when making roti,papdi or paani puree ,is it just a plain wooden cutting board and are they easy available in stores.
