This is a live recording of the Deni Bonet Band from a performance at The Living Room NYC on May 1, 2010. Cynical Girl - Written by Deni Bonet and Kati Mac.

This was the debut of our new, uke-friendly format! This track features Deni on her fab KALA electric uke, Austin Donohue on lead electric KALA uke, Kevin Moon on his brand new KALA U-BASS, Jodelle on keys and Andy Mac on cajon. Everybody sings. (Yes, the band endorses KALA! Check out their instruments. They ROCK!)

By the way, Deni has no intention of giving up her electric blue violin, but she is having a truly wonderful time strumming and writing songs on her uke! Look for a new CD from The Deni Bonet Band this Fall!

Deni Bonet is a singer/songwriter and world-class electric violinist. She was an original cast member of National Public Radio's premier music show, MOUNTAIN STAGE and has performed with Cyndi Lauper, REM, Sarah McLachlan, Robyn Hitchcock, etc. before forming her own highly regarded band. She's appeared at Lilith Fair, performed on Saturday Night Live, Conan, and the Today Show.

Deni quit the classical world to pursue a solo career because she hated wearing black and having to sit still! The Wall Street Journal recently described Deni's music as "like Sheryl Crow meets the B52's". Her last CD called "LAST GIRL ON EARTH" and is available from her website, or on iTunes and CD Baby.
