12 is getting up there for budgies. I lost mine at age 9, and he lived a good, active life.
I've had other parrots since then, who lived longer - each has a place in my heart.

@gumleyboy my budgie only lasted until 5 its so upsetting he didnt derserve to die in that way

Your budgie looks well and healthy Jennifer, so there is no reason why she should not be with you for a few years yet. A good age for a budgie is around 12 years, but some will reach 20 or so. I was unlucky that both Charlie and Rocky died young, but birds can die on you very quickly when they get ill.
