This is a video of a live loggerhead sea turtle taken on July 9, 2008.
My name is Bill Wargo from Alligator Point, FL. I'm a retired teacher, professor, and educator. I'm the director of the Alligator Point Sea Turtle Patrol, Inc. and hold MTP (Marine Turtle Permit)151 issued by FWC (Florida Wildlife Commission). I retired in January, 2003, and became director of the turtle patrol in 2004. For me, monitoring and protecting marine sea turtles is a labor of love which is made possible by a wonderful group of equally dedicated volunteers who are the backbone of our success along with tremendous support from the community as a whole. The closest thing that I get to experiece like this would be seeing the horsehoe crabs come out of the water to spawn at night at Heckscher State Park.
