Sarah Brightman and Michael Crawford were the original stage Phantom and Christine, and no, they did not appear in the movie. However in these videos i redubbed the songs with their voices!

@terrorxxxnight I think it is the phantom, if you watched the end. It shows the monkey sitting there, and it kinda flashes back to the past and shows a old guy with the monkey.

@phantomofopera91 err...but they say Madame Giry's name in the auction. And the old man's voice sounds pretty much like the phantom so...oh well, it's still a debate today.
