Mental illnesses are an "under the shelf" topic that I think need to be acknowledged and talked about more in society. There is such a social barrier that different types of disorders, illnesses and phobias put between quote on quote "normal" people and others that are dealing with issues that can cause many barriers, especially social which can be extremely detrimental and difficult for children and adolescents.
My goal is to try and start a foundation for people dealing with these issues who may not understand or recognize them, or haven't seeked help. I also want to be educated and get some insight from others who have dealt and are dealing with.
There are definitely people who may be very close-minded or uncomfortable with these topics. Obviously, it creates a social barrier due to the major stigma attached to people dealing with these kinds of things.
My goal is to get some feedback on if this can be helpful to anyone or if anyone would like to give me some guidance.
Thanks so much! :)
I hadn't a clue what my mental illness was until I was diagnosed with it. All those years that had passed and I didn't know about it. I wish I did know earlier maybe then I could of done something about it. Thank you for your video.

Hi katie! this is erin c... lily gave me your link. :) good for you for putting this out there. it's not easy to open up about issues like this, but like you said, it is SO important for our society to be informed. my brother dealt a lot with depression/anxiety/panic attacks too, so I've seen first hand how it can seriously alter a life (and a family!). It was so hard to watch how stigmatized he became and how many friends he lost because of it. Thanks for making this, girl! miss you!
