Cross Plains STA Event

On my drive home from Abilene, I happened upon a small town cop running radar just inside the city limit of Cross Plains, a town a little more than 1,000 population. He was parked just after the speed limit dropped from 65 to 55 to 45 in a short distance.

You realize you just about caused a crash with that car that was stopping and pulling to the shoulder?! I heard the damn tires screeching. Right or wrong...this is a perfect example of why you should not be doing this...there are better ways to achieve your goals.

Hey goof ball....some people just don't know how to do the speed limit so how is it a TRAP!!! Just because you get caught speeding doesn't mean they TRAPPED you, noone told you to speed, you just get mad cause you got caught? We live in Cross Plains and if I were Don I would have told you to move your ass along!!!!!!!!!

I won't argue weather there was screeching or not...the car was stopping abruptly and suddenly because of your presence and actions...there don't have to be other cars around for there to be a crash...the car could have easily lost control and ran into you, a sign, your car, etc. Like I said, right or wrong, you startled the driver and could have caused a wreck. Way to go.

you do sound like a whiny little bitch. are you retired or not have anything else better to do? in small towns, even Lakeway, where there isn't so much harsh crime (murders, stabbings, shootings, etc), the police need to make themselves present and catch people that are speeding down their streets. I would expect something like this from a younger guy (early to mid 20s), but not an old guy like you.
