http://www.vridetv.com Traveling in Kananaskis Country is incredible, it's filled with beautiful scenery, wildlife and windy roads. The Kananaskis Trail (Highway 40) begins about 20 minutes East of Canmore Alberta and is definitely one of my top five favourite roads to ride. It was a real treat to capture these big male elks rattling each others antlers near the end of this video. more at http://www.vridetv.com/hdkananaskis.html

  • Be sure to select 720p to view in high definition, Thanks for watching : )

  • Hi Jeff, Kananaskis is simply beautiful, especially the view you get when you crest over the rise in the road and 'officially' enter into the valley coming from the TCH side.

Hopefully for the summer of 2012, I can finally get around to creating some videos of this region at my channel.

Thanks for posting this video and I look forward to the other ones you plan on putting up of this region.

    Ride safe, RCV

  • @RideCamVids Hello RCV, you're absolutely right, the Kananaskis region is simply beautiful, it is certainly in my top 5 place to ride in Canada. Have a great time on your 2012 trip and ride safe. Thanks for watching our videos : )

  • Beautiful! Reminds me of the Thompson Hwy (Hwy 11) between Rocky Mtn. House and the Icefields Parkway in Alberta. Have the great good fortune of riding up there in 2004.

  • as an Alberta boy, I'm biased, but having ridden in many places, I agree that Kananaskis is one of the top Rocky Mountain rides, as there generally is very little traffic, lots of wildlife, and spectacular scenery (the Highwood Pass is about 7800 ft I believe)

  • hi beautiful footage my hubby and i are also riders well i ride with my hubby but he got me a harley last year and converted it into a trike and hopefully this spring ill be riding.
