  • Thanks for sharing this, but yes, the split of part I and part II is annoying. Nonetheless, still an excellent performance!

  • Amazing playing! Great magic! Genius artists. By the way, what is Barenboim doing around 1:56-2:02? Only kidding, they are fantastic!

  • My favorite version of Brahms Sonata No.1 I thought Mutter would do it better but here on Youtube it's Itzhak!

  • @Grigor99 I came across a pianists during chamber music rehearsal that says , "historically there is evidence that Mozart (yes we were playing a Mozart Piano Trio) must've used such and such chord...(he plays a chord he thinks is more approp. then seems extremely contented w himself)" You know it is acceptable if it was Piazzolla Trio or something... but Mozart??? What next Brahms??? wait a min. Barenboim did it..

  • nice. between jazz and classical music, what other genres does a man need? NONE other, I dare say.

  • @andreigocan Ahahah, you're right....but as you said, fantastic performance, much better than other hundreds perfect performances of this piece....

  • They are missing the entire point of this work. It's just another matter-of-fact performance with absolute no passion. Shame on them.

  • @francycapo2005 Yes - isn't it awful? But he is way too important to lower himself to the level of honoring the composer. I have never liked him. In fact, I can't stand the man.

  • Thank you for posting, 5**

  • barenboim learn the left hand!!!!!!wrong notes everywhere!!!!cane!!

  • At 2:01 Barenboim plays a wrong bass note. Eh who cares this is a monumental performance.
