the variation to judo vs japenesse jujitsu is in throws you turn the arm so the inner side of the elbow is against the chest vs out where the bone will be dislocated that why kano change the throws so students can practice with out getting hurt then their was kosen judo which is grappling or newaza which kano seperated from the throws but was still part of the kodokan , yes the argument is that kosen judo wasnt official till 1925 but it was practiced before that year mastered by Tsunetane Oda

@maocapoeira i did thats why i commented on it i know judo came from japanesse ju jitsu kano learned Tenjin Shinyō-ryū then kano made judo its styled so students can come back the next day for practice with out being beat on or broken bones my comment was that brasillian ju jitsu came from judo newaza some say yes some say no . but if you research it you will see it look up Tsunetane Oda 1911 1sdan theres no argument against it especially when he created the triangle or rediscovered

@sonnych69 no it didn't because judo came from an older style of jiu jitsu kano just gave it his own name so his style would stick out. but all the judo moves are actually older jiu jitsu moves do your research it's all in the archives. judo is just a piece of the original japanese jiu jitsu.
