FAKE! The camera was right by it, so the sound should have taken no perceivable time to reach the camera after the light of it reached the camera.

Also if real, that's lame. HCL is hard to get (must be licensed chem teacher to get without stealing) and building and showing it on youtube makes it seem easy to get. Use something easy to get like Sodium Hydroxide (a base, not acid, but just as effective and corrosive). Sodium Hydroxide is commonly called Drano, Caustic Soda, Lye, or Oven Cleaner.

Regarding the time difference, everyone saying it's way too long of a pause is correct. It's not zoomed because you can hear then screwing it and walking off.

Even if the camera has been on zoom, standard cameras don't zoom that well, unless they're either VERY high end (which the picture quality would be a lot better than this) or it'd be a DSLR (again, picture quality). But you'd have lost the low end recording.

Where's the reverb and echo from the surroundings? Sorry, it's fake.

This set up, with the camera only being a metre or so away WILL NOT account for the large difference in light before sound

this is real. To all of you people who think you are "smart" you arent because a have you evr noticed how lightining comes before thunder that is because light travels faster than sound there for the sound will be delayed. The time difference is very large between the two.

If the vid makers were clever enough to fake the bottle expanding & exploding (you can see the bits of earth flying too) don't you think making the bang come at the same time as the explosion would be piss easy?!!!

It's obvious that it's just the sound track that's out of sync with the visual track.

@fanomusic76 Except it was delayed by about 1.5 seconds... That would mean that the camera would have to be about 1,689 feet away from the bottle. It looks to me that it is about 4 or 5 feet away from the camera. At that close, there would not be a noticeable delay at all. So, I think you are the one that does not know much about science...
