  • So, are you a defensor of thermal use of mosquito? Even at turbulent air in the summer?

  • @jgilp Absolutely!! The group that I fly with (6guys) usually only flies when there is good thermal activity. We will usually go to a field. Power up to our first thermal and then shut off the motor harness and thermal for a few hours. We don't go cross country all of the time but do on occasion.

  • That must feel pretty exhilarating and free to be able to fly like that!!

How do ya find your way back to the field while on the hang glider though? O_o

  • @chaosvoider I can see for a long way up there. :-) Some times I go a far as I can (160 miles) and some times I just float around at cloud base and land where I took off from.

  • Wes,

I've been flying an Exxtacy for 10 years with a Mosquito /WASP conversion. I had shoulder surgery last Nov and have been flying the Freedom for nearly a year as the shoulder gets back to normal. The Freedom is great, light, easy to launch in no wind, thermals great, and I had a 35 mile xc with it this summer.
