heyy cincin3. in lebanon it is very safe even with the hezballah group, they pretty much leave u to do ur own thing. so its relatively safe. no violence at all until these past 3 days. lebanon was on the list of very safe places for tourists (when israel is not bombing ofcourse). its very tourist friendly, top dj's like tiesto and artists like shakira, angelina jolie, and 50 cent all have been to there. i have never seen so much american and french tourists inmy life. youd really like it

I like the food my pal downtown serves the shawrna plate, taboleuh, etc. IT is popular in Vancouver. very. very grt influence here of mid east food here. People get upset over the propoganda, I know its just that.. I think your beaches are very nice.

im glad ulike lebanese food! its really good, and its even 300 times better in its place of origin. Propaganda unfortunately likes to show the bad images of Lebanon and its people, alot of people thinks its something like Iran and very Islamic, its population used to be a Catholic majority until the late 70's, we always see the wrong images and facts about the world through propaganda and its unfortunate. Thank you, ud like the mountains there too, great skiiing.

@cincin3 if I may give my .2 cents .I'm from Argentina my father is Lebanese. first time I went there - 12 years ago I could feel a bit of tension in the air; I was told to avoid mentioned I was maronite (christian) in some parts ...u know what ??? BS !!!!!!!! Lebanon is wonderful ! Safe [just don't cut a TREE IN THE BORDER .... believe me when I say most say Lebanese above all. every year after that I go there 4 summer. I feel safer in Beirut than in Rio or NYC. long live Lebanon!
