@NOmeansnoFAN wiki is in no way impervious to ignorance. your quoted text clearly demonstrates this.
The provided description is both vague and generic.
that is as plausible as saying. "if it is not of God, then it is of Satan".

@NOmeansnoFAN Does it site it's source? No? Well, don't trust it. Wikipedia's notorious for being unreliable (don't trust me either). It originally was the worship of any "Pagan/Heretical" Gods. All of which, after the rise of the Catholic church, were commonly associated with demons, as seen when they became "witchcraft" symbols and people were burned for them. Then, it "evolved" to become the worship of Satan. LeVay did it as the worship, if of anything, of the self, not Satan.

"The Power of the World always works in circles, and everything tries to be round. The Sky is round, and I have heard that the earth is round like a ball, and so are all the stars. Even the seasons form a great circle in their changing, and always come back again to where they were. The life of a man is a circle from childhood to childhood, and so it is in everything where power moves." So...was "Black Elk" saying that a hexagon on Saturn may not be natural kind of thing? Gotta wonder???

as the "bringer of light" ie knowledge to the creature named "man"., that is how they see this as positive. Do you know of the Church of the Subgenius? Similar but opposite.

Wtf is positive about satan?, the
"prince of darkness"
Satan = ego, control, greed, corruption....
Positive?
lol gimme a break,
I'm done here
Waste of my time.
The original concept of Satanism isn't, despite it's name, the worship of Satan...ignorant people just took it to be that.

@Rehsba I guess wiki is ignorant also:
"Satanism is a direction and a school of religious beliefs that comprise a number of related ideologies and philosophical beliefs and social phenomena. They share the feature of symbolism, traditions, veneration or admiration of Satan and/or similar figures or personifications of powers or ideologies."
And LeVay....?
