Does anyone remember what the "D-A" on the timing tower stood for? Motor oil? automotive chemicals? I was lucky enough to attend the opening day at IRP '61, then '62, '63 Nats before entering the the Air Force the week later. Camping out amongst the racers was the greatest.
That is Hugh Tucker's fabulous Street Roadster at 3:25. One of the finest exaples of Hot Rod craftsmanship you'll find anywhere. I loved it when he raced Pete Shadinger's Buick.
This is priceless!! Thanks!
