Lord have mercy, I had the WORST crush on this woman in the 90s! Her perfect teeth & smile, her eyes (SOOO alluring!) her luscious voice... everything about her was just irresistible! I would be so embarrassed to meet her today :-( Her music brings back such warm and happy memories though. LOVE you still Suzy!

They don"t make girls like that anymore. Now they are botox filled , tatoo covered and their mouths could make a sailor blush.

seems we think the same thing, a natural beauty. Keep your Lady Gaga and the like they dont hold a candle to Suzy, Emmy Lou, Kathy Matea and the rest of the Country girls

Country music tends to touch the soul I grew up listening to country and have always enjoyed the older music very much Country of the 80's ad 90's had a different feeling to it, now you've got artists like Taylor Swift and some others (Dont keep track of new artists) who have a different thought of Country than people like Suzy Bogguss Deana Carter Patty Loveless Trisha Yearwood Reba McEntire Loretta Lynn and many more Country for some reason just seems to touch the soul better than other music

Country music of the late 80's/early 90's just had a certain sound to it (particularly with the female artists). Unfortunately, styles have changed and evolved from this time period. The good thing is that the albums from that time period will always exist so the music will always live on. If you enjoy Suzy and Mary-Chapin, I suggest you try more of their albums, as well as albums of the other artists I mentioned.

I don't know the first thing about country music, and am not particularly a fan. But I remember I heard this song and some others by the artists you mentioned and really liked it back in the day. I actually bought a Chapin Carpenter CD! Loved the live version of 'He Thinks He'll Keep Her.' You say this belonged to a 'completely different part of country music.' Can you explain this to me a little? Just wondering why I liked it so much.

You are lucky to have seen her so many times. She has a voice like no other. Suzy is simply without equal.
