@LoganMulti12 Could you link more information to me about this? That's sounds extremely exciting, but I can't find anything on Google about it. /:

@WeirdMrBilly There is a building propose called The American Tower with an height of 2,012 ft in Downtown Philadelphia. It will hold Club, 5-star hotel, Disney Channel headquarters, Microsoft and more. It was on action channel 6 not 2 long ago around Sept. 2011

@hop208 it is indeed really sad..but I'm sure something else that size will tip up someday soon in good old Philly
: D

@WeirdMrBilly As of now, no. I will remain a parking lot for the time being. Funny thing is when everyone thought it was going to be built, Comcast actually expressed interest in renting out some floors. It's really sad, it would have been Philadelphia's first world class skyscraper.
-
@hop208 are they gonna build something else on the same property though ?
-
I think that the Comcast Center should have been the old Center City tower so it could be over 1,000 feet. The only thing that I don't really like about the Comcast Center is the height because I think it should've been and least 1,000'.

The project is dead. They had the go ahead, but couldn't find an anchor tenant. The company that developed the Comcast Tower bought the property and canceled the project. I guess they didn't want to be outdone...

The American Commerce Center would be one of the many jewels of my great city, i beleive they should build it

Same here! I am a big skyscraper nerd to! All my friends are like "Dude how do you love buildings? I don't see how you can like them. The don't movie or do anything". But to me skyscrapers are everything! My whole room even! I have pictures of them. I just think there beautiful and cool. And the best part is I only live 45 minutes away from Philly lol. But yes, I do hope the ACC gets built. And can't wait for new Twin Towers at the new WTC!

No problem :) And if you are thinking about visiting Philly and looking around visit "The City Hall Tour". Its a great place to see the whole city. Its an observation deck on the top of city hall. Right beneath William Penn. Great view for such an older building. (It was built in 1909). But its over 567 feet tall! Magnificent view!
Philadelphia= The most underrated city ever...Nuff said

I'm from Philadelphia and it's a lot bigger then people from other place realize. We have over 1.4 million people living here and our suburbs have about 6 million people living there. People glaze over us sometimes because of our proximity to NYC (less then 2 hours), but we are a major city. When this building is finished, it will be the tallest on the east coast (including the spire) seconded only when they finally start building the Freedom Tower in NYC at ground zero.
