Theres hybrid and then theres dried up . . . merge resplendence in divergence as WIRE do and the music is never less than a donkey / carrot experience for my lurverly brain to follow like a lovesick puppy.

This new LP sounds like an amalgam of the various different styles of Wire, from over the past 30 odd years. Like 'Object 47', it's a departure from the harsh, industrial sound of 'Send' (albeit with the exception of 'Two Minutes').

Mostly, I find it redolent of their 80's sound, & with repeated listenings it's getting to be a bit of a grower.

Q: Gold or beans? A: Gold......but only 14 carat. ;-)
