Sobering statistics and the true stories of friends and family that have lost someone that they love in a needless car crash are combined to give us a potent glimpse at the number one killer of teens in America.
5,500 teens die in car crashes each year. Okay...this isn't necessarily the driver. Most teens are riding with someone else when the crash occurs (this is due to distractions with their passengers).
You are also including teens that are 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19. Half of these can't even drive. So take away many of the 5,500. It's actually not that bad.
I am a teen. I choose to not text and drive. That's my choice. But it isn't that bad!
dead is dead bro. anyone who says distracted and reckless driving "isn't that bad" is ridiculously naive.

The first statistic is misleading.
