From the acclaimed film, "Amistad", comes the powerful anthem: "Dry Your Tears, Africa" with its Universal message of returning home: "Your children come back to you ~ out of the storms and squalls of fruitless journeys, over the gold of the East and the purple of setting sun ~ the peaks of proud mountains and the grasslands drenched with light; they return to you ~ our senses are now opened to the splendour of your beauty, to the smell of your forests, to the charms of your waters, to the clearness of your skies, to the caress of your sun. . . ." Performed by the brilliant IBC Choir with Aaron Robinson as conductor and orchestral organist ~ in service at Immanuel Baptist Church in Portland, Maine. This powerful anthem was changed from its original "Afrika" lyric to "Immanuel" in order to convey a return of its "children" to the Congregation: "Dry your tears, Immanuel ~ Your children return to you"
