How to bail a well

For all of those who wonder what I am mean when I say "I'm doing some groundwater sampling", well (pun intended), here is how. This bailer has a check valve so water goes in, but won't come out. To get an accurate representation of groundwater you need to get 'fresh' water. So if I calculate that there are 3 gallons of water in the well, I purge out three times that, so 9 gallons, before I collect a sample :)
