Bodgy's hat trick 1. Maltipoo Maltese and Toy Poodle mix

In this video Bodgy shows his new hat trick. He's a 5 yr old Maltipoo. Adopted when he was 2 years old. He already knew quite a bit of tricks when we adopted him. We're just adding to his big bag of tricks. Smartest dog I've ever owned.

how did you train your dog to do the 2+2= trick? that was amazing!!!!

Thank you for your comment Chelsie. We started by making him bark on command with sign language. I have to hold up the amount of fingers and say the voice command of 2+2 0r 3+3 and so on. Beef Jerky is the key to our success.

im might be getting a 5 year old maltipoo from an unwanted home. Can you give me some tips please. are they easy to trick train them at 5 years old?

Beef jerky treats works great while I'm training him. We just recently adopted a 3 tear old female maltese from an unwanted home to keep Bodgy company while we're at work and we're having a difficult time training her. She is definately on a different attention span level than Bodgy. But we've completed sit, lay down and rollover, it just took a bit longer. Have patience not all dogs are the same.
