Panasonic's EVOLTA Robot finished his long journey along the '53 Stations of the Tokaido' from Tokyo to Kyoto, one of Japan's ancient thoroughfares, to cap an additional 500 kilometers to his mileage. Arriving at the final destination of Sanjo Bridge in Kyoto, EVOLTA Robot (nicknamed EVOLTA-kun in Japanese) was met with great enthusiasm by the public spectators cheering the robot to its final "steps." Since when is a hamster wheel considered a robot? Did the Japanese not think that we would notice? Don't try to pull a fast one on us. Remember Pearl Harbor.

Just inches away from the finish line, angry spectators attacked the robot tearing it to pieces with their pitchforks and axes. They then burned it's remains and took the vital metal scraps to be recycled.
