Perfect example of how things can be so miscontrued. I am an RN & used to work at the same hospital Dr. Guiler did for a number of years. The uterus was being REMOVED & it must be marked to distinguish a particular 'side' of the organ during the removal process & this is discussed with the patient during preop. Each physician uses a particular 'mark' to distinguish the work as his own as the organ is sent to the pathology lab. Dr. M happened to use UK as his own. Don't get all carried away folks

Doctors who perform endoscopic investigations for potential cancers TYPICALLY will mark the tissue so as to now the exact location, at a later date, of where they previously investigated. It would be poor medicine NOT to mark the tissue with a unique identifier specific to that doctor. Some use a tatto, some use a brand. Clearly the other folks commenting here have little knowledge of what they speak.

This is crazy. I hope this is setup. It just didn't look like it at all. This surgeon should be struck off, dead tissue leads to infection, scarring and potential longterm problems. This sucks!
