Edward Theiss films an oyster boat loaded with oysters docking at Seville Square in Pensacola Florida after a big catch in Apalachicola Bay sometime in the mid-1940's. Throughout the year these numbers have been going down from over fishing and from recent Hurricanes, but now with the BP Oil spill this may be video will never be seen again. The BP oil spill has wiped out the Oyster fishing on the Gulf Coast and this video shows just how big the oyster fishing was in this region. This video is available for licensing for legal, commercial, documentary and other broadcast uses upon a written license from Ultimate Chase, Inc....

sorry but if you look at footage at 1;10 the catch looks to be oyster "seed", where they dredge everything right into the boat-oysters,shells and whatever lays on the oyster bar- and then transport to another bar for them to grow on.

Whoa!! This footage is definitely a gold mine!! The odds that we see fishing like this again within the next few decades are slim to none...Very sad!
