Composer and performer here is Leslie Sarony. This was recorded in Glasgow on Thursday, July 17th 1930. What a fantastic date , I wonder if it was fine summer weather?

  • It's HMV No B 5887, the b- side is Little white lies, another top tune, nice gramophone by the way, Is it a model 103?

  • I used to have a copy of this record in the 1950's. it had belonged to my grandad. what was on the other side?

  • Great! Nice player too.....

  • What a fantasic gramaphone you have there! It doesn't escape me that it's an HMV either.

  • Lovely-i have this too and it is much played.I quite fancy going to Swadlincote for some tripe actually!

  • LOVELY! I only have a very worn copy of this. I bet all the Glaswegians where dancing to this that Summer.

  • At least the tune is sunny and joyous, thank you!
