Special live performance by Robyn Wilson & Tara Cook for the City of Sydney Art & About Festival 2008.
The 30 minute show featured live improvised music by Aemon Webb, Nic De Jong and Madame Squeeze.
The performers were bound by their wrists, like puppets, to red plaited rope leading into the audience, who were welcomed to interact. Throughout the show the performers stitched their bodies together with an elasticated thread until they were bound to one another by a tense web of connection. At the climax, they cut the web apart, releasing their bodies to the floor. The music soared and intensified in dynamic, as a direct aural response to the live performance.
Entanglement. Connectivity. An exploration of human relationships that the binds that connect us. The stitching together of a broken heart.
