Another Rex May commercial for Studebaker from 1961. This is a pitch for the Economy Car fact book. These aired during the Mr. Ed Show.

  • Matchbox made this car in the 1960s

  • yep, the 1964 Model. Studebakers sold reasonably well in the UK and Austrailia and South Africa. Due to the size and good quaility and non flashy design typical of American Cars of the day.

  • This is accurate, I love the size of the Lark Wagon, a '60, we have- it is roomy and a compact combined. I fell in love with the model for this very reason. We wanted an antique wagon and the old Chevy's were just too huge for me. Go Lark Wagons!

  • My neighbor bought one of these while I was in High school. Let his son drive it to school and we all (5) loved it.

  • These things were laughed at and ignored when they were new, now they're collector's items.

    Go figure.

  • Oh well...even the fact book wasn't able to fight back against Corvair, Falcon, and Valiant. The Big 3 compacts won and Studebaker lost.
