The isolated St. John's Shrewsbury Anglican Church in the Lower Laurentians couldn't be protected from misguided ghost-hunters and vandals, so it was deconsicrated.
The comments made by the Archdeacon are incredibly forgiving; considering the circumstances surrounding the deconsecration of this chapel. It boggles my mind that people would do this to any religious site; and to disturb peoples last resting places? You do not have to be religious to respect other people's rites. I feel a sense of loss; and say bravo for the two brothers that tried so hard to protect this place from our past; a place that deserved to be left in peace.
Why isn't it considered a historical site and preserved ??
