Right now, the people of Iran are being viciously oppressed by a totalitarian reigime. The North Korean government maintains an iron grip upon journalism and free speech. China has firewalled THE INTERNET. And amongst all of this, I get incensed over the censorship of profanity. That's my priorities for ya.

I fully acknowledge that I completely stole this entire idea from Richard Pryor. However, Richard Coughlan stole it first, and nobody got pissed off at him. Therefore there's nothing wrong with me doing this. That is my ethical rationalisation.

Mmm, I'm familiar with the situation. Germany is in much the same predicament.

While religion does play a (large) part in holding back technology and promoting censorship, this instance is more the result of society in general seeing videogames as an inferior medium, prescribed to the realm of children and social outcasts. One would need to change that general perception, rather than getting rid of religious interference.

Although I'm all for that, too ;-)
