@MassaDayLewis I'd agree with that if all their albums were as good as Urban Hymns but because they don't have enough great songs i'd have to give that accolade to Oasis! Imagine if Oasis had Richards voice that would be some band :)

@MassaDayLewis : Just my opinion, but a lot more soul and genuineness with the Verve when compared to Oasis, whom I could never get into. I've been a fan of British music far before the Verve and Oasis appeared on the scene, but I must agree that you could quite possibly be right. The Verve may very well indeed be the truly best band to come out of Britain in the 90's.

You should really change your perspective. Competition has and will always be the way to progress wether it is music or architecture or medicine or anything in this life. Thus u can only appreciate the music you consider to be the best and not every kind of artist. Thats why the difference of opinion and taste exists anyway...
