http://www.quitecntrary.etsy.com ..This is my first video, so bear with me. I was holding the camera while working, so I couldn't capture a lot of the steps. I'm working with effetre glass (104 coe). You will see me begin with a cylinder of dark transparent amber, followed by the addition of a "belt" of dark ivory. After melting in, I'll add a dark ivory booty and dark amber breasts. You won't see me shape the belly, but it's done with either a blade or a curved shaper. You'll see me roll the bead in fine, pure silver leaf and then burn the leaf into the surface. The more you burn it in, the more organic looking the bead becomes. I prefer it to look very organic. Otherwise, you would want to either stop before it's been burned in all the way, or encase with clear to preserve the shiny silver look. The last photo shows a closeup of the gorgeous, random effect of the silvered ivory on the belly.
